Receptionist: Part-Time

The Receptionist is responsible for performing assigned receptionist, clerical, and office duties while

maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, and regulatory and organizational standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent performs job responsibilities without posing a significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of himself/herself or others while maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures of Christian Care Communities and within the parameters of the Organization’s mission, vision, and values.

1. Receives and greets callers/visitors, provides information, and directs to appropriate person or area.

2. Answers telephone, determines nature of call, and directs caller to appropriate individual or department.

3. Takes and delivers messages as needed.

4. Maintains a current file or listing of residents by room number and name, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extension, key personnel and others as assigned.

5. Receives requests from within the facility/campus and locates personnel via telephone or paging system.

6. Screens and immediately reports suspicious persons/information to supervisor or administrator.

7. Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.

8. Maintains office supplies and office supply area in a neat and orderly fashion.

9. Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service.

10. Efficiently receives mail and directs it to the correct individual in an accurate and timely manner.

11. Prepares outgoing mail as requested.

12. Performs other duties as directed by the Executive Director/Administrator and/or Office Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred Education: Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school

Required Experience: 6 months’ experience or training as a receptionist

Preferred Experience: 6 months’ experience or training in accounting; working with basic

business office equipment
